I think Beyonce, Rhianna, and Trina are definitely knocked off the roster when it comes to this chick and I’ve loved her, adored her, and been collecting her since the tender age of 3.

Her name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. Confused!??! Ok, most of you know her as BARBIE! This diva has everything- looks amazing for 50 years old, tons of careers, cars, her beau Ken, a big sister to Skipper, tons of girlfriends, but what’s most important is that she is always a FASHIONISTA in everything she does.

Barbie is such a “Bad Chick” , that during New York Fashion Week back in February, Mattel staged a full-scale fashion show with designers creating life-size outfits inspired by the doll – such as Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, Anna Sui, and Diane von Furstenberg.

But WAIT!?!? It gets better, this month, Barbie will also be wearing a pair of RED BOTTOMS! Yes, you read correctly. Barbie teamed up with Christian Louboutin and goes ultra glam with sleek makeup, a fiery red mane of luscious locks and of course, pairs of Christian Louboutin designed shoes (complete with miniature shoe boxes and cloth shoe bags). Turning up the va-va-voom factor, Barbie wears a sleek black catsuit perfect for strutting her stuff.

So if you are Barbie collector, like myself, get your coins saved up and be ready to drop $150 on this BAD CHICK!

Have you been shopping lately?....... I have, and if you’ve been to the mall, you will see that the Holiday Season is officially here. All of the Christmas décor is up and Santa’s line is awaiting…….but, what strikes my attention the most, is all of the beautiful sparkly and shiny apparel in stores this year. I mean seriously, there is a touch of bedazzle on just about everything , anywhere from shoes, handbags, jackets, to cocktail dresses………This is definitely the season to shine!!!! So……what’s the top three on my Wish List of Sparkle and Shine?

Interview with Amber Kessee of POParazzi Collection

I am an accessory junkie and always looking for the hottest pieces. Well with that being stated, I would like to introduce Amber Kessee of POParazzi. This girl is a beast, actually a true Barbie, when it comes to accessories so I had a chance to chat with her and it goes a lil something like this:


KD: Where'd you come up with the name POParazzi? And why'd you start this business?

AK: I thought of the name b/c every time I rocked a pair they created so much attention, it reminded me of the paparazzi swarming around celebs. However, I wanted to spell it different, my mother gave me POP because the earrings literally stand out. I started making earrings for myself; my friends fell in love with them, so they were my first clients. It created such a buzz, which allowed me to develop into a brand after receiving positive feedback in the fashion industry. POParazzi has been in business for 1 year.

KD: POParazzi has been spotted in TONS of mags & videos, & even a few celebs have been draped in your collection, so how did you obtain your celeb clientele?

AK: My collection is featured in LA's largest style house; it's the GO-TO spot for celebrities. I also have friends in the industry that are stylist or managers of artists, they see my product they love it, and they want it on their clients.

KD: Speaking of celebs, besides R&B Singer Ashanti , Kim Zolziak from the Atlanta Housewives, & former MTV host, LaLa Vasquez, who else has been rocking your pieces?

AK: Meagan Good, Brandy Norwood, Tameka Raymond(Usher's ex wife), Claudia Jordan, and Tierra Mari, & most recent, 50 cent "Baby by Me" video staring Kelly Rowland

Also featured in more videos, reality shows, high end magazine publications, and more store locations- I have a lead currently working on placing my collection in Australia . God is good so whatever direction he moves POParazzi, well be the route we'll take.

All pieces by POParazzi are created by the one and only Amber Kessee, and she is the ONLY company that has a double Swarovski crystal earring. Period. Can we say impressive!?!?

Babes and Dolls, I know you all absolutely love the legging as it’s very comfortable and quite edgy, but there is an alternative trend – TIGHTS!

For the Fall/Winter Season, opaque tights are feminine, stylish, and chic and are a must have for your wardrobe as they can enhance legs (like the America’s Top Model you are!) and give you a sexy yet classic look.

Tights are fabulous and versatile as they can be worn with tons of different looks! Here’s a few tips to rip your runway at work, happy hour with the girls, date with the beau, etc:

• Try them with a sweater dress or a (denim) mini skirt. Talk about hotness!! Try it with black opaque tights with cute ankle boots
• Colors & Shoes. Remember that if you rock brightly colored opaque tights, keep the rest of your outfit simple, by wearing your tights with flats or heels in the same color,your legs look a mile long!
• Remember: Opaque, not semi opaque! There IS a difference. Opaque is hot this season, while semi-opaque tights just look dated and are also much less slimming for your legs.

Ok Divas, walk to your closet and pull out that dress you haven’t worn in awhile and “jazz it up” with your tights. I guarantee it will look like a different outfit. If you still don’t understand, peep out these pictures of celebrity Solange Knowles; her fashion sense is BANANAS! I heart her.

CELEBRITY STYLE BITE: How to Affordably Look Like a Celebrity

Okay, so this is something new…..Every week or so, I will search for sightings of stylish celebrities. Then, I will do my research and let you know how you can affordably achieve that look. Think of it as a celebrity shopping guide. Are you game? …. Good…Let’s begin!

DRUM ROLLS PLEASE…. This week’s stylish celebrity of the week is Trina. She was sighted at The Think Pink Rocks Concert, a Breast Cancer benefit held October 3, 2009 in Boca Raton, Florida. I think her outfit rocks! I can soooo see myself wearing this on a night on the town.

Now, how can you affordably achieve this look….Well, look no further, I was shopping at Cumberland Mall, and I discovered this ensemble.

This beaded v-neck top and satin floral tulip skirt was found at Forever 21 for only $17.80 a piece and these funky shoes were found at Aldo for $90.00. A grand total of about $140 bucks…. Not bad, at all.

That was fun!!! Now, I’m off to party like a rock star.

TREND ALERT!!!! Say Hey to Grey!" A Sneak Peek at Anita's Shopping List..

This season's hot color is a nice cool grey. It seems you can find grey everything these days......handbags, shoes, jeans, you name it. I just love grey because it is such a neutral color. It can be used to substitute your traditional basic fall colors such as black and brown. Also, you can wear it with bright colors like hot pink, lime green, and turquoise. Grey is a great way to update your look and it adds the perfect touch to today's 80's inspired look......So, with that being said... I have added the following to my must-have shopping list this week.

1. A grey leatherette motorcycle jacket* ( available at Jimmy Jazz for only $36.00)

2. A pair of grey suede over-the-knee boots*


3. A medium to over-sized grey handbag*

4. And Anything thing else I see that I'd just die for, if I don't have it in my life!

“Fall Fashion Must-Haves 2009”

It’s been awhile, but I’m back ….and armed with some dangerously stylish fashion must-haves for Fall 2009!!!!

First, we will be begin with my personal favorite……..
SHOES, of course!
Whether you’re wearing a shoe bootie or sexy stiletto pump, this season we will be walking on a platform.
The contemporary hidden platform is available in all different colors, shades, and fabrics, equipped with all sorts of fancy embellishments…… anywhere from zippers, sexy studs, and Swarovski-crystals, even!!!
Another must-have this season, when it comes to “foot- apparel,”
is the Over- the-Knee boot.
They come dressy, casual, suede, leather, and most of all sexy!
This is number one on my fall fashion shopping list, I can’t wait to get my first pair.





Ok…..Moving On….When it comes to “body-apparel,” just think: sexy, chic and rock and roll.

First, we’ll start with dresses, this season we’re transforming from last summer’s long, sleek, maxi dress, and we’re “bringing our sexy back” with the edgy little black dress.
You will see short full leather dresses, one sleeve dresses, or no sleeves at all dresses.



Now, when it comes to bottoms,
An ABSOLUTE must have this season….. is a pair of leather pants, or for us divas on a budget (like myself), a pair of very fashionable and convincing “leather-looking” pants.


Another must have fall fashion bottom, are a pair (or couple pair) of funky leggings. No ladies….. leggings have not gone anywhere just yet. This season, we can transition into fall with a pair of latex-look leggings or sparkly and shiny leggings, such as the style that Alicia Keys, so graciously wore on the VMA’s (I love Alicia’s style.)



Last, but not least, a very fashionable way to pay homage to the greatest entertainer that ever lived (MJ R.I.P.), a Thriller-inspired motorcycle jacket would be most appropriate.

Well, ladies, I hope these tips have been helpful for you, but I’ve got an urgent appointment at the mall!
