Denim 101....

by Kesha Denise of Funky Flair Boutique

Torn and tattered. Dark blue or Light blue. Black or White. Skinny, flare, or boot cut. Yes, It's all about the denim, baby!

Regardless of the style or fit, everyone owns at least one pair of jeans, or needs to.Denim is a fashion must-have and is a vital part of your wardrobe. Jeans can be "dressed up" with a pair of smokin' stilettos or "dressed down" with a pair of jeweled ballerina slippers.

When finding the perfect pair of denim for your assets, its based upon style. But of course, I have to give a shout-out to all my "Label/Designer" junkies who don't mind paying the cost to be the boss!

Designer.

These jeans are high-fashion that are marketed as status symbols and can be purchased at high-end department stores (Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc) or specialty boutiques. William Rast (Justin Timberlake's line), Yanuk, Paige, Mavi, 7 For All Mankind, Citizen of Humanity and Joe's Jeans are just a few of the designers that women are ranting and raving about as these jeans start off at $200.

Style

There are different cuts, as the leg opening makes a difference in denim, creating a classic or contemporary silhoutte.
