Reality Review: Girlfriend Confidential LA

Sooooo I finally caught up with the new reality show on Oxygen, Girlfriend Confidential LA..  

The show features the life of four girlfriends living out their dreams in LA, chatting about boys, fashion, careers and (making it all the way on top..) ~quoted- Eva Marcille

The cast members includes Eva "the Diva" Marcille best know as "America's Next Top Model".. This chick of fab, & I absolutely love her style....

Then we have, Nikki Chu, a high profile designer who just rooted her company, Nikki Chu Designs.. She seems to have it all together and I love her cute Red Hot Bob!..

My Favorite is Kelly Marie Dunn, which happens to be a L.A. based Talent Manager with a ton of experience and holds a whole lot of grind in her bones.. Love her to pieces..

And finally, there's Denyce Lawton, an actress seen in several Tyler Perry Movies who is seeking that role to place her on the map to fame...

My Brief Review: The show was absolutely fabulous.. I love the fashion, I love the ladies and I'm curious to see how the show turns out.. BUT I must say, I was a bit disappointed with Eva's boyfriend and that Grill in his mouth... Yuck.. I didn't expect that coming from her but hey, whatever makes you happy I suppose...

Or how Denyce kept throwing the B bombs out there but I can't forget this IS reality t.v.,Right?!?

However, I love the grind between the ladies & it shows their hustling hard attitude without the crutch of a man... I see them making some noise in Reality T.V I wish them the best..

Looks like Atlanta will host its very own Fashion's Night Out.. This is definitely a treat..The festivities kick off with Tyson Beckford, Kenny Latimore & Judy Mauldin launching Fashion's Night Out "A Night to Remember" on Tuesday, Sept 6th .. .....As a child my mother would go to consignment shops and purchase all these great pieces that  I could care less about nor did I want to tell anymore where I got them from....

But oh, how times have changed... Vintage attire has made its way down runways, on the streets and everywhere you turn while adding a  twinkle of patterns, bold colors and contemporary looks... For myself, I've inherited a few pieces from my mother that I just seem to love... And I no longer deny the recycled era of fashion..

HELLOO my fellow Recessionista's..... I know, we hear it all the time... "We're in a recession!" or "Our economy is at its worse, since The Great Depression."  It has all been going in one ear and out the other for me.  My attitude was....maybe America is in a recession, but Miss Anita is NOT a recession!  I was in some SERIOUS  denial!  

  For some reason everytime I turned around, there was some financial emergency that came along.  One after another. So, I stopped going to the mall, stopped following all the latest fashion trends, and stopped reading all of the latest glam magazines and blogs...along with all of the rest of the exciting things that go on in the wonderful world called Fashion.  So oneday I was down, I mean Really Down!    I figured.....what's the point in keeping up with all of it,  if I couldn't afford to go to the mall and splurge on all of the fabulosity that the mall had to offer?!?  So to cheer myself up, I did what I do best....I Decided to head back there out there and SHOP..(LOL!)  

Except this time, instead of going to the mall and drooling like a kid in a candy store with no money,  I went to visit my old friend, TJ, you guys may know him as

TJ Maxx. 

And OMGEE, look what I found:

Walaah!!!!!  Yes, it was love at first sight when I spotted these bad boys!!!... And to add the cherry on top, they were only $49.99!!!

........Much better than the Christian Louboutin's at Neiman Marcus for a whopping $825.00!!!

And since, it is a recession!!!,  I couldn't dare  purchase a pair of shoes and not even have anything to wear with it!

.... So I picked up with these Dereon jeans, also found at TJ Maxx, for only $20.00!!!!, paired it up with a $6.00 stretch tank top and a $3.90 necklace from Body Central, and completed my look with some earrings and gold chain belt I found laying around the house.

.....And now I'm ready for a night on the town to

"Shake my Deriere with my Dereon!!!!"  Uh, oh, oh, ohh, oh , oh, oh!

"2010 Grammy's Fashion Review.... Who Was a Hit and Who Was a Miss?"

This year's Grammy's was pretty memorably exciting..... with the acrobatic circus performance by Pink, Beyonce's HOT as FIRE!!!! version of

"If I Were a Boy!" and a beautiful, beautiful tear-jerking Michael Jackson Tribute featuring Usher, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson,

Celine Dione, and Smokey Robinson. But when it came to fashion, this year I must say I wasn't so excited. There were a few hits, but lots of misses!

Keri, J. Lo, and Rhianna looked very elegant! Good job girls!

MISSES!

My two most disappointing misses on this list was Beyonce and Ciara. Though she made up for it with her BOMB performance, Beyonce made the list because for her ...this gown is very mediocre. This gown would be more suitable for her mama...and those gaudy gold-toned earrings clashed with the soft champagne color of her dress. She should have went with diamonds or pearls instead....

And then there's Ciara, who usually is very stunning and unique, but this lace see-through get up... I just don't get it. Next there's some girl named Kesha...I really don't know who she is, but she's on the red carpet, so you guys probably know who she is. Anyway, her Tina Turner "Proud Mary" inspired fringe dress just does not belong on the red carpet. And finally, there's Brittany. I don't have to say much, but to put it simply....WHAT THE HELL!!!!
