As I was sitting enjoying my favorite guilty pleasure -eating Mexican food - and flipping through my December 2009 issue of InStyle Magazine, I wondered "Does Beyonce really wear her line, House of Dereon!?!?!" Then I began to think about other celebrities who have their own clothing line or perfumes - are they really wearing their own brand?Is Jennifer Lopez really wearing Sweetface and spraying GLOW on her body!?!?Is Kimora Lee Simmons really rocking bedazzled and gaudy gold-embroidered Baby Phat!?!?!How often is 50 Cent really sporting G-Unit!?!?!Besides the sweatsuits, have you seen PDiddy wearing Sean Jean!?!?

The only 2 celebrities, I HONESTLY think wear their brand is Jessica Simpson - her clothes and purses are HOTNESS and her perfume smells YUMMY- and Gwen Stefani of L.A.M.B. - her collection is FIRE.

Jessica Simpson Launches New Denim Line..

And yet another celebrity launches a clothing line...The Songbird/Reality Star, Jessica Simpson is coming out with her own denim line... Hopefully they wont look like the ones she has on in this pic...lol.. ( just a thought)... According to Bossip, she's launching an eponymous denim line (in partnership with Camuto Group and Jones Apparel Group Inc.) to launch this July. She states “I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand — a jean that becomes a girl’s best friend, that everyday go-to pair.”

Get money chicks FOR REAL... This dame already has a handbag & Shoe line that is estimated to have earned $450 million dollars...Gotta love it...

So I'm flipping through my television during the Christmas holiday & I notice yet another celebrity has their own reality tv show.. (Sidebar thought, this has been the ongoing trend for celebs these days. Is this what making a dollar boils down to?)..But anyway guess who??? As if you already didn't know.. Song bird, Fantasia.. Interesting, you say.. Well, I say the show may actually be good.. It looks like VH1 gave her a slot & the premise of show will chronicle her life as a singer and single mother. Interesting enough to see.. The show premieres on January 11th @10pm...

Also, I can't forget about Atlanta's very own THE GLAM BAR which was featured in this issue of UPSCALE MAGAZINE.. Kudos to this salon as well as THE GARNER CIRCLE as its becoming one of the HOT SPOTS in ATL to get those DO's done!! page 56 is where its at..

Brittany Murphy, Gone Too Soon.........

OMG! I just got home about an hour ago, I got on the Internet to find that Brittany Murphy is dead at age 32. Apparently, she died this morning from cardiac arrest. For those of you, who don't know who she is, she was the girl that played "Tye" in the '95 movie Clueless....You know, she was..."Rollin wit da homies!".... She also played in another one of my favorite movies, Uptown Girls (2003) with Dakota Fannin. I LOVED her in Uptown Girls. She was so fashion-forward, fun-spirited, and sweet. From the comments of people that knew her personally, she was that way in real life. Ironically, in 2006, she was also featured in a movie called The Dead Girl. This is such a tragedy, she was so young, and very talented. This sucks,... I swear, 2009 must have the worst Celebrity Death List Ever!!! I feel so bad for her family, they must be HORRIFIED, especially her husband. She just recently got married in 2007. Well anyway, my condolences go out to her family and all of her fans.

RIP Brittany.

It’s such a topic of discussion that even comedian Chris Rock debuted a movie entitled “Good Hair” a few months back, which was very eye- opening for most and comical for others.

As with fashion, hair changes just as much ,so you MUST keep up with the trends. As a cosmetologist from the state of California, I am absolutely enamored with the hair industry – everything from the salon talk to enhancing a woman’s outward appearance, and of course the folks that come in selling any and everything from accessories, clothes, games for kids, you name it, the beauty salon will have it . LOL Its just something about the hair industry!

Well, the newest trend for the upcoming new year is COLOR! Not black or reds but warm, rich colors of brown. Caramel, mocha, walnut, cappuccino, or chocolate (why do I sound like I’m having a Starbucks moment) with added sprinkles of honey, bronze, or copper. You can have your trained colorist or hairstylist do highlights, lowlights, or the paneling or blocking technique, whatever tickles your fancy, this is the new “IT COLOR” for 2010. 50 Cent Launches his new cologne Power by 50 Cent ...

Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent have gotten himself involved with another promising business venture. First it was selling millions of records and having sold out tours, a clothing line, vitamin water and now he has his own cologne. Power by 50 Cent is his new cologne and was officially launched November 5^th. The cologne is available exclusively at Macy's this month and in honor of the launch. 50 kicked off a five-city tour.

Here's what the rapper has to say about his creation:

“For me, power isn’t just something you learn on the street or in the boardroom — it’s a way of life,” explains 50 Cent. “I really wanted to bottle up the rush it gives you so my fans can make it a part of their lifestyle.”

As the holiday season is almost here, I’m sure 50 had all this mapped out for the holiday shoppers. I wish 50 well with his new endeavor.
