THE SEASON FINALE "THE HILLS"

I caught a glimpse of "The Hills" season finale last night.. Expecting this to be the final season.. Of course, Lauren surprises us with the return of the well craved reality show in the Spring... I'm not at all disappointed by this news.. But just really anxious to capture a taste of the spin off show with Whitney "The City".. Her being my favorite, I'm eager to see how well she adapts to my hometown, New York City... Because you know what they say.."If you can make it NYC, then you can make it anywhere"... & with a career working for Diane Von Furstenberg you betta believe she'll make her mark in "the city that never sleeps"..

Now, as for Lauren, I hear whispers about her launching her own clothing line... kudos for you girly.. I'm sure her garments will fly right off the racks.... With her unique sense of style, fashion just seems to run through her blood...

Audrina & Justin Bobby are hitting it off well..I guess he finally realized that Audrina is THE ONE & for some reason, I like those too together... "Whatever makes you happy girl" ...

AND Finally, Heidi & Spencer, all I can say for those two is.. "I can't wait to see what happens next season"...

I'M ON A VERA WANG HIGH!!

A few weeks ago a friend & I were hitting the streets, for a ladies night out... And I realized, I didn't have any smell goods... So I rushed to her house where she allowed me to take spray of her Vera Wang ... As soon as I took a whiff of the fragrance.. I was on a total high for Vera...I knew her Fragrance had been out for a minute.. But I fell off my perfume stock for while.. This floral inspired scent would make a great gift for that special person..(hint, hint fellas).. So if it's not under my christmas tree this year.. I'll be sure to hit up my local Sephora to copp a bottle ASAP .. And ladies if you haven't sampled this perfume.. trust me..STRUT THOSE PUMPS NOW!!! You don't know what you're missing...

Last night I got a chance to catch up on my weekly dose of Stylista.. Although I'm not much of a fan.. I did see last night's episode..Honestly, I was a little disappointed that Ashlee got the boot!!! I thought she would hold it down till the end. Well... I guess that wasn't the case when Anne Slowey made her cut.. But I'm sure she'll be well rewarded later on..Get it Girl.. And I know we'll see you soon.. doing ya thing out there in FASHION LAND!!

So the final three remain... Ashlie, DyShaun & (Johanna, whom I hope to win).. While Johanna may be a virgin to the fashion biz... She definitely exudes personal style, passion & drive like she's been in the game for a minute..... I love the fact that she's hungry for fashion.. Don't U??? WHAT'S THE LIQUID ON THE LATEX LEGGINGS??

Latex Leggings have taken over the fashion scene these past few months.. From Celebs like, Lisa Raye to Rihanna, I can't help but ask myself, "What's the liquid on the Latex Legging"? As a strong advocate for the skinny jean, I wonder if these infamous leggings are trying to out shine my denims...But do we REALLY love these LLL??? My guess for now, they've won the thrown..


I even found myself raiding dept store racks in desperate need for the temporary fix of the latex... Dressed up or down the liquid latex leggings can be thrown on with almost anything.. But at the end of day, my heart lies with skinny on my jeans..

TSHC is honored & humbled by this historic Presidential Election... Were so delighted with OUR New President of the United States of America BARACK OBAMA..


As I anxiously watched the tube last night with admiration for the soon to be president.. I couldn't help to feel overjoyed with hope of possiblity that he could actually win this election.. & by a land slide Barack won graciously.. The most precious moments filled my heart as I watched all nationalities in tears for this MAN..Every word he spoke moved people & touched their hearts...And now I can look at my son & know the many opportunities he will have because of this monumental event..

And we, as Americans need to take heed to the message Barack delivered, of CHANGE.. 2008 defines the year of the new begining & the beginning of many more beginnings.. We all need to embrace these momentous moments & embrace them... And Although he's the 1st African American President, I believe he will surpass the color of his skin & lead us to a unifying nation...

WHAT'S IN YOUR MODEL BAG??

It's October & I'm soooooo excited to finally break out my Suede Knee Boots & Denim Trench... Who can resist the cool fall breeze & the colored leaves...





A native New Yorker like myself I can appreciate this weather....It's absolutely FAB...

So Models, S&JSH has noticed on many photo shoots & fashion shows quite a few models don't bring along a well packed MODEL BAG.. Some may say.."What's a model bag, S.."??? Ok, Ok, let me be the first to tell you.. A model bag contains the basic necessities a model should have when going to a photo shoot, fashion show, casting call, dress rehearsal and any other fashion event..

This well stocked model bag will allow "YOU" as the model to become easier to work with and it will also convey professional qualities that may land you future gigs to come...

With that being said, I came up with a list of essential items that one should carry in their model bag.. Models, take notes!!!

1.Wardrobe- This should include a pair of jeans, a white tank top (a wife beater is good), a pair of black slacks, & a simple black cocktail dress.. Of course, this varies depending on the purpose and requirements the model needs for that particular photo shoot..

2. Shoes- For a photo shoot and or fashion show if shoes are not provided a model would need to have that basic black stiletto.. Models, please, please don't forget to bring that pump.. As you know, black is a common color and can be thrown on with anything.. Also, don't forget to include other funky Stompers you may have hidden in the back of your closet.. Variety can never hurt and choices are even better...

3.Undergarments - Always, Always, Always have a Nude, Black, & White Bra with matching underwear... & if you have a strapless bring that along too.. Please make sure they're clean!!! We don't need any embarrassing moments during fittings.. And let's not forget the nude pantyhose too!!

4.Hygiene Products- Strutting the Runway & posing for hundreds of frames can allow a model to become a bit Unsure.. so bringing along Sure items are your best bet..

~Clear, Unscented, Deodorant,
~Baby Wipes-BW are hygienic, so once you use them throw it away.
~Baby oil, or Oil Sheen-for that glossy body effect
~Tooth brush- keeping those jibs clean is always a must
~Razor-your body should be clean & smooth of any unwanted hair or nicks

5. Make-Up kit- Although, there may be a MUA on set, you still want to be prepared & carry a few make-up products for those "just in case moments" .. Because Things happen and you never know if that make-up artist may cancel..A few items include: Lip Balm or gloss, foundation, Bronzer, Mascara, Eyeshadow, make- up brush and any additional products you like..

6.Portfolio & Comp Cards - Finally, this is the most IMPORTANT item that should be kept in your bag at all times.. Ports & Comps are a collection of a model's best, professionally produced photographs.This tool is how a model sells themselves... Never leave home with out it!!!!

Well guys, I think that's it.. I pretty much covered all the basic essentials for a model bag & I hope you took notes!!! Because if you want to land that next job.. You'll definitely have that Model Bag well packed.. See you at the next shoot!!

I hope you had a very fashionable weekend.. If you must know, I sure did... I stayed home, relaxed and watched the "Sex In The City" Movie... I know, I know, I'm late... But it was well worth the wait.. even if I'm the last one on earth who hadn't seen it... I was soooo excited about the wardrobe of these fashionistas & mostly importantly it reminded me of the sole purpose of S&JSH..FASHION!!!! And if you don't have this movie in your collection of hot picks, it is highly recommended to jump on the band waggon... Because it is clearly one the most stylish movies out there now.. So move over "The Devil Wears Prada" SITC got you beat...
